The collapse of the Victorian water system’s main drain was an urban predicament anticipated due to the squeeze on public resources. In hindsight, this drama was prophetic of the Yorkshire Water supply crisis. However, the predicament of 1995 was alleged to be caused by directorial greed within the privatised water industry
